Since 2019, Daniel has been participating in the setting up of the EIT Urban Mobility and since January 2020 he has been appointed as the Innovation Hub Director for the Innovation Hub South. In March 2022, he was appointed as Ecosystem & Stakeholder director coordinating the 5 Innovation Hubs, 12 RIS Hubs and City Club.

Daniel is a member of the board of Gaia-X Spain and coordinates the Spanish group for mobility, also from January he is also leading the Strategic Impact Group of EIT Urban Mobility about Data Spaces at the European Level.

Daniel has several years of experience in Urban Mobility. From 2015 to 2018, he was the Executive Project Manager at CARNET (Future Mobility Research Hub), where he worked in the development of initial activities, setting up processes and research activities and leading projects like the Virtual Mobility Lab (the first macroscopic model of the Barcelona metropolitan region) or the creation of Mobility as a service Catalonia (MaaS Catalonia). From 2003 to 2015, he worked in the Automotive Industry for leading OEMs projects (Ford, Volvo, Land Rover, SEAT, VW, and Daimler). Daniel is also collaborating with ESADE Business School in several MBA courses and with Universitat Pompeu Fabra as a mentor.
